Description
A Beach Park in Honolulu Oahu Hawaii USA. In the 1920s Beach Park was a wetland with bulrushes, kiawe trees, and coconut palms that the city used as a garbage dump. In 1931 the Parks Board designated the land, initiated its development and in 1934 President Franklin D. Roosevelt participated in the opening ceremonies while on a visit to Honolulu In 1947 the Parks Board changed the parks name to the beach and road name which I can not mention because a huge corporation has stolen the Hawaiian word that means Path To The Sea. This is Ala Moana Beach Park. Which is a free public park on the island of Oahu, U.S. state of Hawaii, located between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. The "Ala Moana" name is also a road, hotel, motel and a business center as well as many Hawaiian things. It is common in the Hawaiian language meaning 'Path To The Sea". The name "Ala Moana" has been claimed by Disney corporation and therefor can not be used in the description or title. Because of a certain Disney movie, Many Hawaiian names can no longer be referred. I find this quit offensive.
