When the Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces shut down. The whole plant stilled that day Nov. 18th 1995. To hear a lone steelworker whistle Amazing Grace as the furnaces ever constant blue flame died out. The furnaces stands silent, frozen in time since the Steel plant shut down.
The scene is ever changing and the ice storm was rare. Hence the reason for this image being in my "Never Again" collection.
35mm film exposure. Negative scan to PSP.
Komo mai (Welcome) Traveler, Percussionist, History buff, and Photographer. Photography from The Beautiful Lehigh Valley Pa. to the Amazingly Beautiful Hawaiian Islands.. I have found over these past 35+ years, that photography, can sometimes be over complicated as a means to confuse the layman or empower the pro. Therefore I tend to keep things simple. Photography to me is simply a way to capture the moment in a way that pleases thine eyes and exude a mood or feeling. I hope you like what I see and create with my vision. Here on this site, I have mixed in some of my older film shots as well as the more current digital captures. I do not use Artificial Intelligence. Many thanks for your interest in my work, DJ Just...
