I lived there over 25 years and would occasionally go horseback riding in this area. I never saw it that green (of course there was a serious drought in the late 70s through the 80s). That is amazing. What gorgeous color. So so pretty!! Aloha!

On our last trip to Maui I've noticed substantially more green on the back side of Haleakala from just a few years back. It's an incredible change. Mahalo Jane.
