Located at Wailuku River State Park not far from downtown Hilo Hawaii. Rainbow or Waianuenue Falls is 80 ft tall and almost 100 ft in diameter. The falls are part of the Hawaii State Parks and the gorge where they are located is blanketed by a lush and dense tropical rainforest with a turquoise colored pool that is bordered by beautiful wild ginger. I was able to capture the roaring falls as very heavy rains had just stopped and a rainbow appeared briefly. Technique - Large aperture DOF with hyperfocal to infinity focal distance.
